Let us remember

On being reminded

Do you ever need reminding

I have written before on the Ebenezer cairn

God told them to erect a pile of stones

So that when the kids asked what is it

They would rehearse the story

Of the redemption given them by God

I still like to have things to remind me

Of the good I have received

Of the bad I have done or avoided

They keep reminding me

Of things I do not wish to forger

I recently wrote of gratitude

Reading it

One could think

I was trying to balance the books

To not owe for a kindness shown me

Grace is hard for most of us

We are raise to keep the books balanced

We want to pay for what ever we get

We are bothered at an unmerited gift

My friend and brother said,

“For some unseen reason we think love comes with a price. Which is true. It is just that we did not have to pay because He did.”

It is of the Lord to have gratitude

It is also of the Lord

To let people show their love

Without worrying about how we repay them

When we give it should be out of love

And not as an investment to be repaid
