It's a start

Itís a start
This winter has been my worse for my depression
I have not wanted to do almost anything
I feared that I was giving up on life
On a rational level I know I did not get out of shape in one day
So I should conclude that returning would take time also
Dear friends have kept me from becoming a hermit
Wednesday was simply a beautiful day
I felt worse as I did not really want to do anything
Thursday was cold and wet
I did not do anything
Friday three old friends drove up from Nashville just for lunch
Really just to hang out
Today I got up late
Looking outside I knew it was beautiful
Carolyn suggested I walk out the drive and get the mail
I am not sure that she thought I would
I did and was winded by the walk
My knees hurt
After I got back to the house
I decided to go out and clean up my Hellebore plants
If you garden and donít grow Hellebores you need to
Sometimes called Christmas or Easter roses
The leaves stay green all winter
And the blooms that start early in the new-year and last till June
They are simply awesome
Seeing them and the other blooming flowers
Lifted my spirits and gave me a reason to be active
So pray that I will day by day build on what I did today
On the topic of hope
Yesterday I ordered another thousand greeting cards
They should be here in a week or so
Know anyone who needs a card
Let me know
