Dangerous Dancing

By Richard Sandring
2000 Richard Sandring paper 261 pages

A man is found floating in a yacht basin, he was drunk and it appears an obvious accident. Like too many deaths, the over worked Police are prone to close the case. Then Detective Nick Alexander is disturbed by some things that don't fit. He begins to work the case. He is an awesome detective who is prone to look for sex/love in all the wrong places and his last stand is now becoming ancient history.

The deceased an advertising type who has done very well appears at first to have few enemies. There is the worthless son in law. The former friend/competitor who he decided to destroy due to his being unappreciative of the deceased death. Then there is a strange group with its base in S. Florida. The chief gets upset with Nick as he spends too much time on what is clear to everyone else is an accident.

The dead man has an assistant Ruth who Nick is smitten with and tells her things that he usually never tells anyone about the case. There are a couple of heavy types that try to threaten Nick and that is not any thing he appreciates. So from St. Clairs Shore, Michigan to West Palm Beach Florida the chase goes on. It is a stem winding tale and well done. You will not figure it out until the last page. The author who lives in Cookeville. I hope will keep writing Nick Alexander books but I hope he can bring Nick hormonal problems under control.
