CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE GARDENER'S SOUL
By: a bunch of folks

This review comes out of my having to be in the hospital for test for a couple of days and asking Bookworks to send me something over to read. I doubt that otherwise I would have read it. I have looked at the display of Chicken Soup books with more than a little condescension. For openers there are more of them now than kinds of soup at the supermarket.
Wrong! What a joy to read the short stories of how my favorite hobby gardening has changed neighborhoods, restored hope to the hopeless, provided communication between age groups and done many other wonderful things. The stories are short usually one to three pages and some of them are by famous people, Erma Brombeck. James Michner, Nelson Mandela but while I felt that some of those were window dressing the one by Mandela of how he had a garden in prison was a tear starter.
If you garden, if you want to bless a gardener, if you are looking for ways to change your world, this is a good place to go. The book is simply too good not to read or give away.
